What is The Passion & Purpose Club?

It's a community for female founders who are done with surface-level networking and ready for something real. We meet monthly across the UK in coffee shops, creative spaces, and anywhere that feels like us. Professional photography included, courageous conversations that actually matter, and a focus on visibility that feels authentic, not performative.

There's no icky sales pitches, no forced introductions, no pretending to be someone you're not. Just women supporting women to be more visible, more confident, and more connected, to themselves and each other.

And honestly? It's so much more than we can even put into words.

3 Things that happen at our monthly meet-ups

① Courageous conversations that build real connection

We have big conversations on topics we're all affected by as ambitious women. Failure, confidence, gender equality, self-worth, privilege, pricing our services and products, and so much more.

Each month we focus on one area, using prompts and insights to develop the conversation. And while these conversations are genuinely interesting, the biggest advantage is that they build true connection with each other. In turn, that equips us to have those same conversations outside of the Club.

As Brené Brown says: "Connection is why we're here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives."

② Visibility support that actually helps

This community was created to help women be more visible, and in doing so, inspire lots more women to do the same. Our talents, skills, and knowledge are way more interesting than how we look, and we must show up in order to share our stories, connect with others, and ultimately make what we do, and what we believe in, more visible.

③ Professional photos every single time

Aside from an amazing community, lots of support, and hopefully great coffee (tea drinkers also welcome!), our members get (at least) 5 new photographs to use every single time they visit.

A little note about the photos…

These are not a replacement or quick fix for branding photos. With dedicated shoots, you'll receive planning, creative direction, and locations specific to your needs.

What you do get though is shots by a professional photographer every time. I'll give you ideas based on what you need and the venue, get you into the good light and 'pose,' and offer advice on what to do, how to relax, and dare I say, even enjoy it!

The repeated practice of having photos, especially monthly, means you build your confidence and get to know what works and doesn't work for you. I love this style of photography, sometimes shot on camera, sometimes on phone, because we capture the real you, without all the bells and whistles. I strongly believe the connection to others in these types of shots is the strongest. They're not AI perfect, they're beautifully imperfect, and that in itself provides a more magnetic connection to others.

What they are is up to you: headshots, action shots, product images, the choice is yours and we'll be on hand to inspire you if you've run out of ideas.

At some clubs, our focus will be on video or another area of visibility support, but a professional photographer will be at every club. So if you need photos and they're not the main focus at that particular club, you'll still be able to get them. No questions asked.

Your first session: what to expect

Walking into a room full of women you don't know can feel nerve-wracking, even when you know they're your people. So here's exactly what happens when you arrive:

You'll be greeted with a genuine smile (and probably a hug if you're into that). We'll get you a coffee or tea, introduce you to a few friendly faces, and make sure you feel welcome before we even start.

We will ask you to speak a little about yourself but not in a pressurised way. Just natural conversation that flows.

We kick off with our theme for the month—maybe it's about failure, or pricing, or confidence—and we'll share some prompts to get us thinking. Then we break into smaller groups for the photos and a chance for everyone to really talk and be heard.

Throughout the session, your photographer (me, Karen) will be capturing natural moments. When it's your turn for photos, I'll chat you through ideas, get you into good light, and help you feel as relaxed as possible. And if you're still feeling camera-shy? That's completely normal and we'll work through it together.

By the end, you'll have had real conversations, made genuine connections, and you'll leave with 5 new photos ready to land in your inbox within a few days.

The women who come once? They almost always come back. Not because we're pushy, but because it feels like coming home.

The Passion & Purpose Club is for you if:

• You run your own business and recognize that people buy people, so being seen is critical

• You're keen to blaze a trail within your own company or industry and recognize working on your personal brand is important

• You love deep conversations that help you get clarity on issues big and small

• You know great content makes a difference

• Being more visible makes you uncomfortable, but you want to work through that because you know nothing changes if nothing changes

• You value having a community you can trust when starting out or developing new areas of your business or knowledge

• You can feel a little self-conscious and recognize how empowering it would be to grow alongside other women who feel the same

• You're looking for ways to meet and potentially collaborate with other women in business in a non-yucky way

Where do we meet & when?

We currently have monthly clubs in London, Manchester, Leeds, Stockport, and Cheshire, with bi-monthly clubs starting in Brighton, Bristol, Sheffield, and Liverpool from February 2026.

We don't want to dominate the whole of the UK—our community remains special because it's not huge—but it is our intention to try and get a club in reach of everyone who would like to attend. How does it feel at The Passion & Purpose Club?

The Passion & Purpose Club (originally Photo Club) was set up initially to help women in business increase their visibility and to provide a safe space in which we could support each other but it's ended up being so much more than that.

It's fun, inspiring, empowering. It picks you up when you're feeling down. It encourages you to see your own worth as well as everyone else's. It encourages collaboration and community… and that's just what I think as its founder!
